This is a Cambodian restaurant. It serves Cambodian food for prices typical of the area. And it was one of the best meals I had during my week in Phnom Penh. The decor is not for Westerners - the bright blinking lights and the stage for singing might not be what you associate with a nice restaurant but the view is fantastic and the service is very nice. Try the beef on a stick.
OK, so the food is only average (rate it 3) but the view and wide choice rate a 5. We ate here in the evening. Wonderful to watch the sun set over the city. One side is the Mekong, the other is the Ton Le Sap river as its on the island in between. We had quite a wide range of entres since we are a large group. All were fine, nothing bad, nothing outstanding. Service average, but fine.
a local brought me here for lunch, it was very quiet and almost deserted on a weekday. We sat outside, with a fantastic view of Phnom Penh skyline and the mekong river on almost every side of our view. The view was awesome. We ordered a few dishes, but i enjoyed the amok curry the best, it was surprisingly very tasty and good. We also ordered the crab soup and it came with actual pieces of crab! so, not bad at all! Give it a try.
We were treated to a nice meal, very tasty and well prepared, by friends who live in the area. We were quite pleased with the atmosphere and food quality of traditional Khmer fare. Service staff was very attentive and eager to care for us. We will return soon and bring others.
