大尖山(大尖石山)

The Dajian Mountain is a symbol of Kenting National Park. The peaks stand on the beach, higher and more striking than the other mountains around. Across the Bay from Goose Running Nose Park, landmark photographs of Dajianshan can be taken at the park's height.

The official name of Dajian Mountain is "Dashijian", which is one of Kenting landmarks. It is the highest point in Kenting Peninsula area. It is a whole rock protruding on the grassland. To climb the mountain, you need to enter the gate of the archway of Kenting National Forest Recreation Area and cross Kenting Ranch. There are climbing ropes along the edge for climbing. The top of the mountain overlooks the whole Hengchun Peninsula with beautiful scenery. It takes about 3-4 hours to go up and down the mountain.

進入國家公園后，最惹人注目的地標，就是這屹立在墾丁牧場當中的大尖石山了。西至南灣東到鵝鑾鼻，只要一抬頭，就可望見它那尖聳的身影。其實大尖山的海拔不過318公尺而已，只因四周地形過於低緩，因此才有鶴立雞群的感覺。由砂岩和頁岩礫石塊構成的大尖山，是地質長期侵蝕而後突露的結果。目前大尖山的登山口有兩處，從牧場出發，由東邊登頂來回約需1個半小時；由西邊登頂的話，則需2個半小時，均屬相當輕鬆的路程。登頂后整個恆春半島的景觀盡入眼底，一覽無遺。 不過目前已禁止攀爬，違者國家公園警察會處以罰款。
