Still the BestMy Swiss next door neighbour rang and said he was hungry and felt like noodles for lunch. I suggested Baan Saphan Mai, which surprisingly he had never heard about, even though he has lived in Rayong for 10 or more years.Baan Saphan Mai is a Rayong institution, having been run by the same family for several generations. It is located in an old traditional Thai teak wood house in Old Rayong.My friend agreed the noodles were five star, so much so that he ordered a second bowl.I contented myself with just one.With two cans of Leo Beer the bill was a very cheap Baht 170.
