Like many buildings in Munich, the old city hall was completely destroyed in World War II. In fact, the history of the old city hall can be traced back to the 14th century, so when rebuilt, the architect restored the original Gothic style of the 15th century, using the design elements of floor windows and Gothic gables. Part of the old city hall is now a toy museum, displaying a variety of mechanical forms. Toys, including Barbie dolls and teddy bears since 1960, are loved by big friends and children.
