The base of Battery Park is Clinton Castle. It was built in 1812. It was built in the middle of Hudson River. After reclamation, it became one with Manhattan Island. The reclamation part became Battery Park. The southernmost part of Battery Park is to go to the Statue of Liberty Wharf. Inside the castle is now the ticket office of the Goddess of Liberty cruise ship and online booking and ticket exchange, and there is an exhibition to introduce the history of the castle.

Battery Park is located in the southernmost part of Manhattan Island. It is a circular battlefield built on land at one end of land reclaimed from sea. There are immigrant statues beside the Battery Park, which show the infinite hope of immigrants when they see the New World. It's also the starting point for a boat trip to see the Goddess of Liberty and the Hudson River.

Battery Park is formed by reclamation of rivers and fields around Clinton Castle. It is rare to have this green forest in the south section of Manhattan, where steel and cement buildings stand. In Clinton Castle, the Statue of Liberty visited the ticket office on the island. The park also has a white marble naval martyr monument.
