Beitou Library, located in Beitou Park, Taipei City, is the first "Green Building Library" in Taiwan. The whole building of the library is mainly made of wood and glass, with steel, and looks like a large "elevated tree house". The design of the museum is convective through high and low windows, which can reduce indoor temperature in summer, save electricity and introduce fresh air. The roof is equipped with solar photovoltaic panels for power generation, turf on slopes and special drainage design, which can recover rainwater for watering plants and toilet water. In addition, libraries use eco-coatings and eliminate unnecessary decoration projects to reduce pollution and toxic substances release. In 2012, Beitou Library was selected as one of the 25 most beautiful public libraries in the world by an American website. Entering the Beitou Library, the indoor Book fragrance and the bird language outside the window make reading a pleasant enjoyment.
