The Benaki Museum is a private museum founded by the Benaki family. There are many kinds of collections in the museum, especially a large number of Greek traditional folklore exhibits, including clothing, jewelry, interior decoration and so on. Their exhibition tells about the evolution of Greek people's lives. After watching this part of the exhibition, people have a better understanding of the whole Greek culture.

貝納基博物館（Benaki Museum）是希臘的綜合性文物博物館，主要收藏地中海沿岸國家和地區的文物。原本是 Benaki 家族的府邸，1930年改建為博物館，專門展出 Benaki 家族的收藏，現有超過12萬件史前時期迄今的文物和逾18萬冊藏書。貝納基博物館的創始人 Antonis Benakis（1873-1954）出生於埃及一個希臘裔家庭。1910年，他的父親、資本家 Emmanuel Benakis 購入位於雅典的 Harokopos 公館，作為家族住所。1926年，Antonis Benakis 離開埃及前往雅典定居。作為一名藝術收藏家，Antonis Benakis 一生致力於收集各國藝術品，1930年他擴建了 Benaki 家族的府邸，用於展示他的個人收藏。1931年貝納基博物館正式成立，並由 Benakis 捐贈給希臘政府。Antonis Benakis 於1954年逝世，他的心臟按遺囑被砌入博物館入口處的牆壁內。為了容納日益增加的藏品，博物館分別在1965年、1968年、1973年進行了三次擴建。1989年至2000年，博物館完成最後一次大規模擴建，在北面新增一棟翼樓，於2000年6月7日重新開放。至2018年，貝納基博物館共設有5個展館，分別是貝納基博物館主館（希臘文化博物館）、貝納基博物館新館、伊斯蘭藝術博物館、吉卡美術館和玩具博物館。 #博物館好有意思 #城市裡的私藏秘境 #雅典
