Berlin Cathedral is a Renaissance style cathedral. The three prominent domes clearly illustrate this feature. Unlike the spire roof of Gothic Cathedral, the dome of Berlin Cathedral will give the original high church a sense of roundness and richness visually. From the architectural appearance, it imitates St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome and has its own distinct characteristics. The vault of the church is not just a simple imitation of St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. It makes the interior of the church bright and spacious, which contrasts sharply with the gloomy and solemn appearance of the church. Because the relationship between Berlin Cathedral and Gothic Cathedral, which used to be the exclusive church for the Royal family, is different from those Gothic churches with beautiful appearance and simple interior decoration, the interior of Berlin Cathedral is extremely gorgeous and even to the extent of ostentation. Its interior is brilliant, decorated with complex lines of pillars and exquisite murals, and even the pillars are gilded. Its interior was designed by the designer Julius Raschdorff at the same time.
