碧山寺在台懷鎮東北2公里處，如果是從台懷鎮出發去徒步朝台的話，這裡是必經之路。碧山寺是聞名海內外的釋放禪寺，凡是僧尼、居士在碧山寺食宿全免，寺院絕不逐客。

碧山寺位於五台山台懷鎮北部，是一座規模很大的漢傳佛教寺院，始建於明代中期，距今已有五百多年歷史，保存完好，主殿內有一座很大的玉佛。

五台山十大青廟之一（漢傳佛教），始建於北魏時期，現存建築都是明代重修，歷史悠久，規模比較大，來此参觀的遊客信眾眾多，香火鼎盛。

五台山最大的十方禪寺，在寺廟群偏北的位置，寺廟開放的區域不大但香火頗勝，佛事活動也蠻多。

Ancient people have visited Puji Temple Poetry Cloud - ""Sunset Bishan Temple, Xiaoran ancient Jianbian. Baiyun is green, and the spring is cold under the bright moon. " There is a great tradition in Bishan Temple. Every monk, monk and Buddhist believer who comes to Bishan Temple will have free accommodation and meals. No one has the right to chase visitors. If there is a lack of Sichuan-funded road fare, the temple will also have to make allowances. The practice of Bishan Temple, a ten-party monk of Guangji, is very popular and appreciated by people. Therefore, people also call Bishan Temple "Guangji Maupeng". Mao Peng is a modest name for a monastery. Myanmar Jade Buddha is now placed in the Temple Temple hall. The Huayan Sutra Pyramid is a Buddhist Sutra Pyramid written on the White Ridge, which is one foot seven feet long (6.1 meters high). Hanging up, it looks like a Seven-level exquisite pagoda, eaves and wind bells, like meticulous painting. Looking closely at the past, Fang Zhi is composed of mungbean big regular script brush characters. The whole tower just wrote a "Huayan Jing" with a total of 600043 words. It took Xu Dexing twelve years to write about bathing and burning incense. This Huayan Jing pyramid is now displayed in the rear high hall of Xiantong Temple. Bishan Temple is now the "National Key Temple Views" promulgated by the State Council. The temple has four major halls: the Temple of Heavenly Kings, the Hall of Thunder, the Hall of Commandments and the Hall of Maitreya. The couplets on the colorful archway in front of the Mountain Gate wrote: - "The performance is cool, the snow always drifts in the four seasons, and the world of silver clothes appears", "The magnificent bliss, the lotus blossoms begin to blossom in June, turning into a golden universe".
