It was here that the famous Boston tea-pouring time took place. The British colonists set a high tax rate on tea. The angry Bostonian people, led by Suummal Adams, dumped all the tea in the sea. This led to the outbreak of the War of Independence. There are still people here who re-enacted the outbreak of the incident.
