Alexander Nevsky Church, the largest and most beautiful Orthodox Church in the Balkans, is located in the city center. From 1877 to 1878, the war between Russia and Turkey broke out, and the Russian army liberated Bulgaria. To commemorate the victory, it took 10 years to build the church and named it after Russian Czar Alexander II. The beautiful cathedral is reminiscent of Russia.
