Milan Cathedral Square, built in 1862, is the place where Milan holds large-scale political, religious and other activities. In the center of the square is a bronze statue of Victoria and Emmanuel II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy. It was carved by El Cole and Rosa in 1896. The yellow building on the east side of the square is a palace of neoclassical architectural style. It was built in 1778 and has now been transformed into a museum and a cathedral in Milan. To the north of the square is Emanuele II Corridor. Compared with the People's Square in Shanghai, the area difference between Milan Cathedral Square and Shanghai Cathedral Square is not very large, but the cultural connotation is not in the same grade.
