Church of All Nations, also known as Agony Church, is located at the foot of the Olive Hill in the eastern part of Jerusalem, adjacent to the Garden of Casimani, where Jesus prayed at night before his arrest. The Universal Church was built between 1919 and 1924 on the basis of two ancient churches, the Byzantine Church of the 4th century (destroyed by the earthquake in 746) and the Crusade Church of the 12th century (abandoned in 1345). The Universal Church was named for its support from many countries. In front of the church is a row of columns with modern mosaic patterns depicting Jesus Christ as a symbol of the connection between God and humanity. According to the New Testament, Jesus and his disciples went to pray here on the eve of the Supreme Cross after the last supper. The Garden of Cassimani was also the place where Jesus was betrayed by Judah. In addition, the Orthodox Church traditionally believed that the Cassimani Garden was the place where the apostles buried the Virgin Mary. There are several 900-year-old olive trees in Kashmani Garden.
