There are many mosques in Xining, but the most famous one is the Dongguan Mosque in the east of the city. Most visitors to Xining have heard of it. It's still used for religious activities, so every time we go to church, there are believers coming. Visitors can come in for a non-weekly visit. Inside the very tall Arabic architecture, you can see three archway-like buildings, followed by a large open space for Muslims to pray. There are also Chinese-style palaces on the front, and religious people can also enter the inner worship. Non-religious people can see the inside through the window outside the door. There are also two floors of small buildings on both sides of the square, which are exhibition halls and office buildings.
