位於波士頓自由之路上的法納爾大廳是由富商彼得·法納爾於1742年興建的，起初是作為市場，獨立戰爭爆發前，便作為了波士頓全城市民聚會和進行自由討論的場所，它見證了無數愛國志士的會議和演講，因此也被稱之為“自由的搖籃”，在美國歷史上曾具有重要作用。這是一幢莊嚴的，具有希臘風格複式建築的三層紅磚樓，經過大規模的修葺后，在1976年的8月重新對外開放。走進大廳便可見牆上寫着：這裏見證了波士頓建市的重要時刻。
