北星山町營薰衣草園在中富良野車站旁，順序從南往北大概是富良野-中富良野-上富良野-美瑛，中富良野更靠近山川，地形起伏更大，薰衣草園就在北星山的山坡上，一般觀光除了拍照外，多會考慮坐纜車上山俯瞰農場，也算此處不同之處了。
