On the east side of Xingang Pavilion is the German Museum of History. On the street side is the square building with a history of more than 300 years. Berlin's first and oldest Baroque building under the Bodhi Tree, the armory; on the back side is the new building, I.M. Pei, designed by the famous Chinese architect Mr. I.M. Pei in 2004; in the middle is the Schlutel Courtyard, with Schlutel carvings on the wall. Twenty-two masks of death fighters show the cruelty of the war. In the hall of the German History Museum, besides exquisite stone carvings, exhibition boards and modern multimedia methods are used to show visitors the important political events in German history and the development process of social, economic and human history.
