黑馬河鄉到石乃亥鄉四十餘公里的環湖西路，是青海湖最美的路段。這段路在不同的季節呈現不同的美景：5月野花綻放，群鳥飛翔；8月萬畝油菜花在湖畔盛開；而在10月，黑馬河草原歸於平靜。如果你準備騎行遊覽這一段，那大約要耗時3小時。騎行途中有兩段路上上坡路，而且相對比較陡。從這裏的山坡上可以俯瞰廣袤的青海湖，特別是這裏的日出非常壯觀，不過，能遇到一次完整的日出需要運氣。連續大晴天到不一定能看到很好的日出，因為高溫會把湖水照得蒸騰，清晨時會在湖面形成厚雲和濃霧，太陽就隱在後面了。8-9月份青海的日照時間很長，日出一般早上6點，日落一般晚上8點。黑馬河鄉是個十分簡單的小鎮子，感覺只有幾百戶人家，多數開餐館和旅館，另有幾家小賣鋪。黑馬河本身不是什麼景區，只是因看日出得名，沒有門票，不過去湖邊的觀景台有人收門票。一大早很多人就會趕到湖邊看日出，車多人多，都在靜靜地等待。運氣不錯的話，就會看到，日出時霞光萬道，令人陶醉。【性價比】黑馬河看日出停車給你們推薦我住過的賓館，@黑馬河牧野陽光賓館，值得入住。
