Huaiyuan Tower is located in the eastern part of Kanxia Village, Meilin Town. It was built in 1905 and 1909. It is the most exquisite and best protected double-ring circular earth building. It can be called a masterpiece of traditional residential architecture art. Huaiyuan Building is a delicate and elegant "Si is room" building with 190 square meters of floor space, carved beams and painted pillars, simple and natural, couplet plaques and voluminous air. The plaque hanging on the hall is inscribed with vigorous and powerful characters "Si is the room", with pairs of couplets on the columns on both sides, the first couplet is "Si Tang is an eye opener for touring Dunhuang Books" and the second couplet is "Why does the room dislike narrow thinking about Shangde's children and grandchildren". In the lobby, there are couplets "books are the heroes of the world, good is the rich and noble root of the world", "good deeds in the world, loyalty and filial piety, good reading and cultivation of the world". In the outer gate building, there is also a couplet "reading teacher Shao Mouyuan, courtesy and family heirloom", which is criticized horizontally as "poetry hall".
