Hyde Park is a historic park built in 1810. Park Street divides the park into two parts, north and south. On the south side are mainly monuments such as the Australian and New Zealand Legion War Monument for soldiers killed in World War I and the bronze statue of Captain Cook. On the North side, Archibald Fountain is the center of the fountain and the beautiful tree-lined avenue. Street artists often perform in the fountain square, which is a good place for people to take a leisure walk.
