The Karen Observatory is a very worthwhile scenic spot on Phuket Island. It is located on the top of the hill south of the Kata Beach District. It overlooks three main beaches of Phuket Island at the same time: big and small Kata and Karen. [Transportation] There is no bus stop near here, and only chartered cars, TUTU cars, or motorcycles can come to the viewing platform. We are motorcycles around the island. We come to this viewing platform by ourselves. Starting from Badong Beach, we ride sheep all the way to Karen and Kata, and then to the viewing platform, which can be reached in half a day. Although called Karen viewing platform, the viewing platform is actually located in Kata Beach, from Kata along the seaside highway south, about five minutes will see Karon Viewpoint's large LOGO plate, after getting off the bus along the stone steps up the hill, you will come to the viewing platform. The viewing platform is actually a pavilion which arrives at the highest point along the mountain road after getting off the LOGO license plate. Looking down from the pavilion, you can see clearly that the three beaches, big and small, Kata and Karen, are arranged in three lines in front of you. Because the three beaches are different in depth, you can also appreciate the change of the color of the sea water.
