火山腳下一片草原，冬天草千里的草都黃了，草地上也沒有放養的馬，有幾匹供遊客騎的馬。蘆花在風中搖曳，風雖然大但陽光明媚，還不是很冷。草原中間的湖變成了小水潭。

景觀很美，剛好天氣很好，很適合觀賞火山口和拍照，停車場很大，而且餐廳食飯不貴

11月尾去熊本阿蘇山的草千里是沒有草的，睇相就知道，個山頭乾咗(剩少少湖水)，草地禿咗，從上空望落去，可以揀其他季節先去比較好。
