The Statue of Liberty, formerly known as the Liberation Monument, is located on the top of Budapest Freedom Hill on the Danube River. It was built to commemorate the liberation of Budapest by the Soviet Red Army at the end of World War II. It is a landmark building in Budapest with famous Hungarian sculptors. In the evening, standing in front of the statue of the goddess, you can overlook the Danube River and Budapest at night, which makes people linger and forget to return.
