Maliau Basin, located in the south-central part of Sabah, covers an area of 588.4 square kilometers. There are 12 species of rare forest trees in the basin, including the high-rise Agathis tree, the rare mountain Shinan forest and the Cypress tree species growing on low land and hillside. The splendor of the expedition lies in the magnificent seven-story waterfall of Malao, which can only be seen after a hard journey.
