登別溫泉:登別溫泉是日本十大溫泉之一。當地自地底流出的溫泉水富含礦物質，且以具有療效而聞名。乳白色的硫磺泉可以養顏美容，鹽泉和金屬泉也各有不同有益健康的效果。從札幌乘搭火車到達登別 ，車程大約 2小時。如果自駕都要花上 1.5小時。從登別駅搭公車過去「登別溫泉街」約要20分鐘。溫泉飯店林立，小小的街道充滿藥妝免稅店、餐飲店、超市和小商店等等，如果時間充裕可以預三日兩夜較合適。

為了溫泉和登別地獄谷而來，因為不是旅遊旺季，小鎮也格外安靜。瀰漫在空氣里是隨處都有的硫磺味，呃，十分像是臭雞蛋。夜晚除了少數一些餐廳以外，商店、手信鋪子等等早早就關了門。走在街上就只有腳踩在路上的踢踏聲。只有走進餐廳和溫泉旅館，才彷彿回到熱鬧的人間。小鎮不大，逛一圈有半天辰光足夠了。

登別的溫泉街在北海道乃至全日本都很有名，溫泉街兩側有很多溫泉酒店，除了酒店，紀念品商店和餐廳也是比較多的，在溫泉街上走走感受日本文化也挺不錯的。

登別市為日本北海道膽振綜合振興局的城市，屬於室蘭市的衛星城市，轄區內西南部的工業區屬於室蘭市週邊工業區。市內的登別溫泉和カルルス溫泉為著名的旅遊勝地。
