唐寧街十號 (10 Downing Street) 是英國首相府。唐寧街是17世紀80年代一個名叫唐寧的爵士所建，英王查理二世為報答他的救命之恩，將他升為財政大臣，並把這塊地贈給了他，唐寧在這裏建了15座小樓。唐寧死後，英王喬治二世於1732年把唐寧街十號贈給財政大臣羅伯特·沃波爵士，此後200多年一直是財政大臣的官邸。當時英國沒有首相一職，財政大臣就是英國政府的一把手。到了1937年英國通過《國王大臣法》后，才開始設立首相一職，自此唐寧街十號成為首相的官邸。除了首相官邸，英國政府的各個部都彙集在唐寧街周圍。首相官邸有警衛把守和鐵欄杆大門擋住遊人，不過，警衛非但沒有凶神惡煞，還會配合遊人拍照，也體現了首相官邸親民的一面。

學生時代去過一次唐寧街10號，那時候跟首相府就隔着一道柵欄。現在一家人第二次逛倫敦都已經隔了兩道柵欄的而且還有安全樁。看樣子911后哪裡都加強了警戒。其他沒啥大變化。旁邊有幾個部級單位。陸陸續續有人過安檢進入唐寧街10號內部。忘了說一句，不管什麼時候，門口永遠有人抗議。這是亮點。

對我們遊客而言，唐寧街10號就是唐寧街位於白廳街的路口而已，而且用鐵柵欄攔着的，有警察守衛。曾在新聞報道里看歷屆首相在唐寧街10號門前發言的我等，連10號的門都望不到啊。不過想想大家都是在這兒看的，也就看看滿足一下好奇心了。我們去的時候還是卡梅倫住在裏面，離開倫敦的那天正好是脫歐公投結果出來的次日。

Very good to find! Start from Buckingham Palace and walk through St. James Park (where you can have lunch and attract lots of small animals!) If you go a little further and turn left soon, you will see many policemen standing in front of an iron fence and police cars. Needless to say, it must be No. 10 Downing Street. It's a pity that we can only look through the window through the iron fence. It's also satisfying. After all, it's the prime minister's residence. The surrounding environment is good, then you can walk along the road to Big Ben Bell or to Westminster Temple, which is the same direction of the road, just choose the destination at the fork, you can play both, but pay attention to the opening time of Westminster Temple! No. 10 Downing Street can be visited all day without any time limit, so it's good to arrange this view even when you're hanging out at night.
