在愛丁堡的王子街花園東西區之間有個土丘，是用建設新城時挖出的150萬車土方堆積而成，上面由19世紀最偉大的蘇格蘭建築家威廉·亨利·普萊費爾設計建造了兩座新古典主義風格建築，北邊的是蘇格蘭海軍學院，南邊的就是蘇格蘭國家美術館。蘇格蘭國家美術館每天10:00-17:00免費開放。其中霧比較了解的油畫3號展室中的《男人的三個年齡段》繪製於1512-1514年，右下角一個小天使踩着兩個熟睡的小男孩，代表男人的童年和上帝之愛；左邊的成年男女深情對視，代表青年時期和人類的愛情；中間稍遠一點兒的地方有位老頭捧着兩個骷髏頭凝視，代表男人步入老年階段，配合更遠一點兒的教堂，提醒人們記住救世主的神聖之愛，以及生命之永恆。

蘇格蘭國家美術館於1859年落成開館，集合了文藝復興時期至19世紀末一系列優秀的歐洲藝術品，包括提香、梵高、拉斐爾和莫奈等名家之作，同時也囊括了大量蘇格蘭藝術精品，是蘇格蘭頂尖的美術館，每年有逾百萬的遊客到訪於此。

The National Gallery of Scotland is only a bridge away from the railway station. Its architecture is simple and innovative. There are numerous large oil paintings in it. Although the collection is not very special, the pieces are also rare and exquisite. As far as oil paintings are concerned, the openings are generally large portraits and scenery, and the internal maintenance of the gallery is exquisite. The staircases to the second floor are at the entrance. The elegant spiral shape and the symmetrical portrait of the sages on the wall embellish the palace of art with a sacred meaning.

On the side of Prince Street beside the railway lane of the railway station, many buildings are so careless that a museum is full of things. Baby is not a professional, but also a lively place to see, especially painting.
