This is Sri Lanka's number one attraction. It is said to be the eighth wonder of the world. It is also Sri Lanka's number one UNESCO cultural heritage site. Now that there are so many titles, it must be very distinctive. When you get there, you will find a castle on a huge rock. Although I have visited the Jiaohe Old Town in Xinjiang, the shape is similar, but there are also huge differences. The Jiaohe Old Town is on a hillside with a sandstone foundation. But Lion Rock is on top of a big rock. It is said that a Prince wanted to usurp the throne after murdering his father and king, but he fled here after the matter was revealed and did many years of construction, but was finally destroyed here by his eldest brother. There are some beautiful murals of naked women in this lion rock. But photography is not allowed. The whole Lion Rock is $40, which is still expensive, but it's worth the trip.
