St. Patrick" s Cathedral is the largest Catholic Church in Australia and the Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Melbourne. The cathedral is located outside the city centre, next to the Victorian Parliament Building. It is one of the most representative Gothic buildings in the 19th century. St. Patrick's Cathedral is situated in the garden at the junction of Gisborne St. and Cathedral PI. It is surrounded by fences and covers a large area. The garden contains the image of Bishop MANNIX, as well as many memorial statues and sculptures. The cathedral is a T-shaped structure with three minarets. There are two slightly lower spires on the front and one on the back, which is 103 meters high, showing the Renaissance architectural style. Painted windows, wood carvings and stone carvings inside the church are exquisite, highlighting the solemnity and magnificence of the Catholic Church.
