Spring dawn of Sudi is one of the ten sceneries of West Lake. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Chunxiao of Sudi was listed as the top ten sceneries of West Lake. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was also called "Liuqiao Yanliu" and included in the ten sceneries of Qiantang. The landscape of Sudi Spring Dawn means that once the winter is over, Sudi will be like a dancing messenger of primrose, with willows clipping the bank, bright peaches burning, and lake waves shining like mirrors, reflecting beautiful shadows and infinite tenderness. The most touching thing is that when the morning dawns and the moon sinks into the western mountains, the breeze slowly blows, the willows roll up and down and stay on the dike like a dream. Sudi south from the foothills of Nanping Mountain, north to the Qixia Mountains, nearly three kilometers long, is a great poet of the Northern Song Dynasty Su Dongpo when he was in Zhizhou, Hangzhou, dredged the West Lake, using excavated humus mud constructed. In order to commemorate Su Dongpo's achievements in governing the West Lake, later generations named her Sudi. The long levee lying wave connects the Nanshan and Beishan mountains and adds a charming scenic line to the West Lake. These two days, Hangzhou is sunny, sneaking around the Sudi, feeling the city spring.
