故事館的前身是打狗停車場，而停車場為日本明治年代對火車站的稱呼。館內保留了老車站的容貌，還有首創的鐵道資料室，陳列了1951年開始至今的《鐵路公報》以及鐵道文化協會和研究者提供的鐵道圖書資料。一切的擺設、桌椅，都呈現出當年站務員辦公的場景。玻璃柜子裏面還存放着鐵道工作人員的帽子和制服，制服還可免費給参觀者穿戴留影。

打狗驛，其實是高雄港西子灣附近的一箇舊的火車站，這個火車站從前是重要的貨運碼頭鐵路站場，所以面積很大，旁邊的駁二藝術區就是原來的貨艙改建而成的，可以說這裏一帶都是因為從前港口經濟而生的，現在這裏早已沒有火車，但還是保留了幾個火車原型在那裡供遊客拍照，感受一下從前的歷史。

Doggy Railway Story Museum, "Doggy Hitting" is actually the old name of Kaohsiung. As its name implies, it is a showroom that tells the history of Kaohsiung Railway. It is convenient for Xiziwan MRT station to come out. There is no charge for admission and free of charge. The Museum retains the appearance of the old station, as well as the railway reference room, which displays the railway bulletin since 1951 and the railway books and materials provided by the Railway Cultural Association and researchers. All the furnishings, tables and chairs show the scene of the station clerk's office. The glass cabinet also contains the hats and uniforms of railway workers. It's a little sad to savor these old things carefully. There are also old steam trains on the lawn beside the railway hall for tourists to take photos. Out of the Railway Pavilion, you can also take "Hama Star Culture Bus" to visit various scenic spots in Kaohsiung City, which is very convenient. Come to Kaohsiung and feel it.

西子灣地鐵站出來門口就是，免費参觀的，雖然沒什麼遊客，但也可以参觀一下,裏面還有當時的辦公室可以参觀,還有當時的火車頭。
