1. Beichuan, Sichuan Province, is the only Qiang Autonomous County in China. Before the earthquake, the total population was 161,000, of which 91,000 were Qiang, and the county seat was Qushan Town. The unexpected 5 183; 12 Wenchuan earthquake caused extensive damage to the whole county, heavy casualties and huge economic losses. 2. According to the general plan of post-disaster reconstruction in Sichuan Province, the old county town of Beichuan, as an earthquake site, is currently the only whole site in the world with the largest protection scale, the most comprehensive destruction type and the most typical secondary disaster site area. It is a valuable resource that can not be duplicated by geological research. 3. Beichuan Old County, Linlu River, Ring Dangerous Mountain. In the May 12 earthquake, the mountain collapsed in a large area, the buildings were completely destroyed, and more than 10,000 people were killed. 4. The protection area of the earthquake site is 2 square kilometers, which is divided into three parts: the old urban area, the new urban area and the Shaba seismic fault area. The total protection area is 1.2 square kilometers. Among them, 12 sites were protected for major events, 16 for primary protection, 75 for secondary protection, and 6 for typical geological and infrastructural damage. 5. In the face of natural disasters, human beings seem so vulnerable. Therefore, only by revering nature and obeying its laws can we avoid or reduce the harm of nature to human beings. 6.
