Vanna Park is home to the H.R. Astronomical Museum, the Vancouver Museum (Move) and the nearby Maritime Museum. From the steps of the Maritime Museum, you can dock for the False River Ferry. False Creek ferry can take you to Granville Island, Aquatic Center, Stamp Landing, National Square, Yalton, and Telus Science World. Vanna Park is also a children's festival, in April or May. It's also a great place for picnics in spring or summer. In the toolbox in July/August, you can watch the celebration of the lighting fireworks show in the Bay of England. Just bring a beach blanket, lawn chair, food and drinks and have a picnic at 10:15 p.m. Go there early to claim your spots! It may get cold there, so bring a thin coat or sweater. Enjoy it.
