The museum is housed in the apse of the church, a semi-circular room that is worth a visit in its own right. Visitors enter through one of the city’s most beautiful spaces, whose windows, colours, and natural light evoke a Hammershøi painting.At the basement level of the church visitors can see the ruins of the gothic church and watch a short animated film that tells the dramatic history of the church tower.From May 25 – October 19, the museum is open Monday-Thursday 11 AM – 4 PM, Friday and Sunday 12 – 4 PM. It is closed Saturday and during church services. For opening hours in November and December, consult the church website. Free admission.
