I went on a self-service tour to Kyushu, Japan in 2011. Occasionally I see Ujiu Island on the Internet, because I like quiet places, especially want to see the "rope venison" tree on the island, so I listed it as a must-go place. When I came back, I wrote a travel note. It happened that the Diaoyu Island incident happened and has been put on hold until now. Personally, Ikujima is not really a tourist hotspot. Ikujima is suitable for people who like nature and mountain climbing. In the nature reserve on Ikujima Island, the protection of the natural environment by the Japanese is really inconceivable. We went to Ikujima by steamer on Kagoshima (the transportation is very expensive). Traffic to scenic spots on the island is very inconvenient. Buses are less frequent and suitable for self-driving. We stayed in an apartment for two nights. Instead of climbing the mountain, I went to Ujiushu Natural Culture Forest, Baigu Yunshui Gorge, and watched a movie about Ujiushu Island in "Ujiushu Environmental Culture Village Center". Like Baigu Yunshui Gorge, not only because it is the scene of Hayao Miyazaki's film "Princess Ghost", but also because of the thousands of years of towering fir trees, the quiet primitive forest.
