I stayed in Rome for 5 nights, and 4 of those, I ate here. Great food, good ambience. I was greeted like an old friend the second and successive nights I visited, probably because they had a good laugh at my appalling Italian. The food was fresh and tasty. I tried the pasta, pizza, fish and more pasta. Really recommend the Spaghetti con Vongole....delicious, sweet clams, past al dente with a hint of garlic and chilli. The Tiramisu is made in house and delightfully light and creamy. Half a carafe of the house white, a lightly sparkling wine and a bottle of fizzy water to aid digestion completed each meal.
Moved in to an AIRBNB up the road... Hunger pains kicked in... The wife concured... Jumped on to TRIP ADVISOR and the rest is history... We phoned ahead to check for times and seating... The other end of the line said in broken english.. "8pm? Questo!.. come on down mia Luciano"..... Okay me Henry... We arrived... greeted... showed to a table... a bit of jockularity broke out between his english and my italian... As our bruschetta arrived and halfway through it the yummy olive & potato croquettes turned up... While observing the dish and popping the eyebrows and licking the lips... a rather loudish fella on a phone wondered over shuffling the chair and table beside us... As I looked up amused at his behaviour he gestured towards me then at the phone.. As this happened a young couple joined him as if ready to take a seat.. He wrapped up his call and said... In the same broken english on the phone earlier when I called... "Hi!!! ... I'm Luciano... pleasa talka witha boy hea speak english... It went from there... The who where what and how we got here... And I said TRIPADVISOR... He was impressed... He brought out the chef and gave him a this and a that with all the lingo and hand gestures... And presto... Out came the mains... For my Wife... A grilled chicken breast... moist and tender with a fresh side of salad... And for me... The most tender beef fillets skewered churassco style with glazed baked potato... Yum Yum Yum.. The place was buzzing with local families of all ages... Highly recommend and will visit again.. Thanks Luciano... And many thanks to his Chef Franco and Waiter Floress.. Ciao for now Henry & Vickie ☺ Australia...
Good food, convenient location, beautiful outdoor dining. Can easily accommodate large crowds. Abundant parking.
