這家餐廳的菜做的非常有希臘特色。
This place was a wonderful off the beaten path experience! We stopped here because we had read in a guide that it was very authentic, and the guide was right! The proprietor recommended a beef roast type dish that was out of this world, and he explained that his mother makes the food every day! He even brought us out a sample of wine they make there with their own grapes, and a candied fig at the end made from figs taken from their own fig tree! If you get the chance and you can find this place, GO!
Because I live and work in Santorini 6 months a year, I had the pleasure to meet the 2 wonderful brothers that are running this place. In fact, I meet them every week and they always welcome me with a warm smile and kind words as if I were family. In their café/restaurant located in the village of Mesa Goniá, also known as Episkopi Goniá (because of the 12th century Byzantine church of Panaghia Episkopi), you feel cosy and almost at home. Many are the ones who came here to give it a try, searching for something different and genuine, and they found it. You 'll be surprised by the number of people that left messages there, from all over the world, for the owners put it on the walls and also outside the restaurant. Either for a coffee, a glass of wine or Ouzo, why not try the food, you will find a safe haven where to drink/eat, often accompanied at your table from time to time by the owners. If this is not hospitality and kindness, I don't know what it is. Highly recommended.
This is a safe heaven! With nothing but peace an quiet, traditional greek music played ever so lightly. The view ohh wow the view! Traditional greek food an company.. when ordering pick the dish of the day your in safe hands! I also got given to me fresh tomato from there garden with a pinch of salt on each DELICIOUS! To finish it up the sweetest of all sweets a fresh fig from the garden coated in this thick sticky texture of goodness! Thank you sooo much!!!
