I had the opportunity to visit Sochi at the beginning of this year. It ended up being one of my favourite trips so far. I was lucky enough to have a local friend that showed me around. I came back home a few kilograms heavier (don’t blame me). The food was incredible, but my favourite by far was borscht and shashlik, shashlik is kebabs cooked over a fire, almost similar to bbq.
Our days consisted out of coffee, good food, tasty desserts and beautiful scenery. I felt truly immersed in the culture after spending nearly two months there. I like these kinds of “slow travels”, that way you can really get the feeling of the country and its people.
I can’t wait to go visit Sochi again, perhaps next time in summer. #russia #sochi
I couldn’t help but feel like i was on set of the the movie “silent hill” 🌫 🌫
A friend recommended that I go to mount Akhun and I’m certainly not regretting going. I just wish the weather was a bit better, on a nice day the view looks extremely beautiful. It’s one of the highest, if not the highest lookout point over Sochi.
Very nice place to watch a competition or skating show. Watched the ice musical "Carmen" by Ilya Averbukh. Spent a great time, got a lot of positive emotions and had a chance to see all the olympic figure skating champions in one place.
