The food here was OK (wife's). I ordered a seafood platter, given that I was in Tasmania which is renowned for its seafood. What I got was a pre-packaged frozen "seafood platter". You could tell it wasn't what it should have been. Very disappointing to get this served up to you when you are in Tasmania of all places. The staff were friendly, the views were good and the pub was clean. Nothing special about this place that would drag me back there or recommend it to a "seafood loving" eater.
Pleasant location overlooking Macquarie Harbour. Stopped for linch on a weekday. Hamers in town centre was closed. Had seafood platter, my friend had a schnitzel. Schnitzel was just average apparently, but my seafood was yummy. Chips crisp and salad fresh. Prices also realistic for a tourist town. Service was quick and polite. Although place wasn't busy. Would come again.
We arrived 6pm Saturday evening to be told there were no vegetables, not even for the roast dinner. We ordered short loin chops only to be told again that there were none. Everyone had to have chips and salad. 2 of us ordered seafood only to be told it was imported frozen seafood not local. It was horrible. I had rissoles and I wish I hadn't . These were possibly the worst meals we have ever had. The food was disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
