I&#39;ve been to this neighborhood restaurant about 8 times and the food is good to very good, and the service is usually really good. They only had 3 waiters working inside and outside on a very busy Tuesday night. I felt bad for our waiter who was doing the best he could. Maybe it was unusual, but it was too slow.

Our server was wonderful. She really made the evening special and I wish I&#39;d gotten her name. She was hoarse by the end because she had to shout to be heard. That is the problem. If you happen to like the people you&#39;re with it is very difficult to hear over the roar of conversation in this small space. We left with our ears ringing. This was our third visit and in spite of efforts made on the part of the owners the noise level continues to be really awful. Standing outside looking in this is a really lovely inviting space. It looks like a nice French cafe. The food is good enough although we wanted the coconut cake to be light and fluffy and it was not. This was a restaurant that brought high hopes with it and we continue to hope that they will resolve the noise issue. We would come again and again if only...

A brunch visit was the first and likely the only visit to Macon Bistro- the space is industrial &quot;chic&quot;, the servers nice enough . The food is not bad but there is no attempt to &quot;finish &quot; the plates. The french toast well cooked and is very rich , with crispy edges but the plate lacks finishing - it needed some strawberries or fresh fruit to cut the sweetness of the french toast- Their eggs benedict are on very flat biscuits with sunny side up eggs and again , the plate would have benefitted from a serving of potatoes . The portions are generally skimpy but well prepared - its just short on getting the plate done and the menu is very limited
