It March madness so it's really busy. Took a while to get a table and a drink. The food was good for bar food. The beer selections are plentiful and our bartender was accommodating and friendly.
Visited this place to watch NFL Dallas vs. Saints game. Friendly staff as well as patrons or regulars. Good Beers selection. Had the nachos, they were ok, nothing special. My daughter had the hamburger and fries she enjoyed it. Good place to enjoy sporting events of course.
Ventnor offers a nice change from the typical sports bar experience of mediocre food and lousy service. There's a good selection of nicer beers on draught. For dinner I had a large grilled cheese sandwich, which came with a fancy green salad and thick tomato soup. The presentation and quality - freshness of the salad, sharp taste of the soup and sandwich - was what I'd expect at a full restaurant. I also found the service to be consistently attentive and friendly. The prices are also higher than a typical sports bar, so you can run up a surprisingly high tab watching a whole game here. While the food and drinks were excellent, it's not the best sports bar environment. The bar itself has multiple levels, but each one is small and has limited seating, which is not ideal for large game gatherings. The viewing angles for games was also not great, with few tables aligned directly in front of TVs. On the whole, it's a good choice to see a game and get good food and drink while you watch.
Due to the setup of the bar, it is hard to see TV's from a lot of the seats, which defeats the purpose of going to see a game there. Had heard a lot of great things about the place, but it was disappointing. For our group, food that was ordered never arrived, some was not cooked, and some was missed. The drinks were OK, but in the hour and a half we where there, the server only came back once. Too bad, it looked like it had potential, but none of us will go back if in the area.
