I have always had a good time at Haydee's. The food is consistently good and plentyful. The margaritas are very good and the staff is friendly and upbeat. I particularly like the easy going atmosphere and the music. Neighborhood bands play, young musicians get a chance to show their talent, people drop by for a few guest appearances. The owners are very generous, contribute to street festivals and make the neighborhood so much more vibrant. Definitely stop by! I often go with friends, family or solo and always feel welcome and at home.
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this colorful restaurant. We chose Haydees because we were looking for Latin American food and this restaurant had decent ratings. The decor is a bit funky but fun, and the soundtrack of 80s music had us reminiscing about the good ole days! We were quickly seated and helped by a very friendly and efficient waiter. And it was only a short wait to when our food arrived -- my husband enjoyed a steaming platter of steak fajitas and I was happy with the chicken fajita taco salad. I think the one thing I'd change is the guacamole -- I would've enjoyed it more if it had been made fresh. If we lived closer to this location, I think we would visit anytime we craved food from way down south. (Picture: chicken fajita taco salad)
I love the atmosphere of Haydees and the service is great. I really want the food to be better! But it's still pretty expensive and the quality is really not good. The margaritas are also not good, they just use the sweet margarita mix. Worth going for just a beer and hanging out for live music or karaoke.
