It's worth visiting here. After queuing for security checks, he entered the Great Hall and was shocked by the brilliance in front of him. Like a magnificent palace. Staff guide ordinary tourists to the third floor, overlooking from a high place, can take photos, but can not enter it, forbid talking loudly. The magnificent and solemn Main Reading Room is the reading room that Nicolas Cage rushed through in National Treasure 2 and found the President's Secret Book on the bookshelf upstairs. On the first floor, you can see the treasure of the town hall: on the second floor of the Gutenberg Bible, there is also an exhibition on the history of American civil rights movement. Americans use the most magnificent buildings to collect knowledge, which really makes us sigh. Tips: There are three buildings in the library. We started to go wrong. In fact, only the Jefferson Tower is available for tourists. The building is right behind the Capitol Building. Seen from the Google map, it's on the west side of the building. Free of charge. Entering the door requires passing the security check. There are clear instructions inside the Library of Congress to follow the underground passage to the Capitol Building (all water and food are not allowed to be brought into the Capitol Building for security checks again).
The Library of Congress, founded in 1800, is one of the most important libraries in the world. It is the oldest federal cultural institution in the United States. It looks beautiful from the outside, and the exquisite ceilings and sculptures after entering the hall are all exquisite. And it is open to the outside world free of charge.
Come out of the Capitol and visit the Library of Congress next to it. It's also free. The size and luxury of the main reading hall is amazing. It is magnificent, such as a classical European palace. Even if you go inside for a tour, it will open your eyes.
