The Jiushi Art Museum at No. 27, The Bund will present the exhibition "Jorge Lando - I Want to Paint Life" to the audience. George Lando is known as one of the important representatives of Spanish neo-expressionist art. This exhibition is not only George Lando's first exhibition in Shanghai, but also the artist's largest exhibition in Asia so far. The exhibition will display more than 100 groups of works from the collection of the Spanish George Lando Museum and some private collections, covering oil paintings, watercolors, mixed techniques, etc.
The exhibition will feature works from multiple series, including the "Butterfly Series", "Maternal Love Series", "Nature Series", "Birth of Color Series", "Animal Series", and "Vertical Horizon Series". The "Butterfly Series", a new work by the artist, was inspired by what George Landau saw and felt during his stay in China. Landau composes an ode to beauty from a unique artistic perspective, while also reflecting wildly and profoundly on the delicacy and power of nature. It is worth mentioning that this exhibition will also feature many large-scale works by George Landau, all of which are being shown in China for the first time. The view from the tower is amazing and do go just before dusk so that you get to enjoy the beautiful sunset views and the night view of Shanghai City.  The lower level where a portion is covered in glass walk around was amazing. Quite an experience, felt like walking on thin glass above Shanghai.  The buffet dinner at the revolving restaurant turned out to be disappointing. While there seem to be a great variety of food, they were not really tasty.  The crabs were not fresh. Definitely could be better and improved on.

Personal advice is that if you only want to see the exhibits, audiences may be disappointed, if you want to better understand history and culture through the exhibition, there may be some gains.

Taking advantage of the slightly cooler weather in Shanghai after the fall, I rushed to Shanghai Jiushi Art Museum to watch the exhibition &quot;Rhythm of Painting: Zao Wou-Ki&#39;s Painting and Poetry&quot;. Before visiting the exhibition, I could also stamp two sets of color stamps at the service desk.
[Exhibition Content] The exhibition selected Zao Wou-Ki&#39;s works from the late 1940s to the 2000s, focusing on more than 100 precious prints and porcelains, and carefully translated more than 60 illustrated poems. Through the three theme sections of &quot;Visual Poetry&quot;, &quot;Wandering Eyes&quot; and &quot;Nowhere Far and Far Away&quot;, more than 10 sets of poetry prints completed by Zao Wou-Ki and poets are fully presented in Asia for the first time, aiming to allow viewers to travel through time and walk with the artist in poetry and painting.
[Exhibition Highlights] Zao Wou-Ki is a famous French-Chinese artist and one of the few outstanding Chinese representatives written into the history of world art. Most of the previous exhibitions talked about his abstract art style painting, creative techniques and the development trajectory of his artistic career...but rarely highlighted the literary nature contained in Zao Wou-Ki&#39;s works.
&quot;The Sound of Rhythm&quot; is the first exhibition in China to fully present more than 10 sets of prints and poetry collections completed by Zao Wou-Ki in collaboration with many well-known poets.
[After-viewing experience] Zao Wou-Ki, an art master born in a scholarly family, is a representative painter of non-stereotyped art and &quot;lyrical abstraction&quot;. I have long admired the master. This time I came to the century-old building on the Bund River in Shanghai to appreciate prints from different periods, from concrete to abstract, to interpret his long process of exploring poetry in painting, and to experience the quiet and profound artistic conception behind the form of his colors and lines. A person quietly appreciates the master&#39;s works slowly, feels the heart gradually calm and peaceful, and feels the master&#39;s painting and poetry up close. Life is worth it!
