The Central to Mid-Levels escalator system was built by the Hong Kong government. It was originally intended to facilitate residents in the Mid-Levels area to travel to the Central business district and to ease the busy conditions on the narrow roads in the Mid-Levels area. The system cost HK$240 million to build and was put into use on October 15, 1993. The annual electricity bill is estimated to be as high as HK$500,000. The original design of the plan was to build six similar escalator systems. Later, serious overfunding problems were discovered midway through the construction, and only one escalator system was built and the plan was not continued.

Hong Kong Disneyland doesn&#39;t have long queue and we were able to go to every area in one day. Recommend downloading the app and tracking all the places/attractions there. Enjoy!

The experience is much more comfortable now, with reasonable queue times, but prices inside are seriously inflated. It seems the rainforest isn&#39;t like the whitewater waterfalls of the past anymore. A single disposable raincoat costs over 40 yuan! 😂 A regular hot dog and a Coke cost 98 yuan, etc.

A &ldquo;must-do&rdquo; when visiting HK. When you arrive at the Peak Tram station, enter the Madam Tussauds shop, and follow the lines with the tram image. We got there on opening &amp; glad we missed the bulk of the crowds. It got busy quick on the weekend! Once the tram gets to the top, there are many escalators to go up, which can be time consuming. There&rsquo;s a few shops to wander (like the sweets shoppe) and a Bubba Gump restaurant. We got to the top &amp; had beautiful views! It&rsquo;s definitely been a highlight of our trip.

Hong Kong peak is the best peak and panoramic view of a city I have come across since Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. The general scenery of the area is wonderful and unmatched. I went both at night and during the day. I would highly recommend night time as it looks so much better and the bakehouse cafe is much easier to get a space in while you look at Hong Kong

We only saw the general exhibits this time and didn&#39;t go to the Egyptian section. But it was more than enough. We mainly brought the kids; the Ming and Qing dynasty antiques and clothing were very well preserved and beautifully displayed. We also learned a lot about history. Compared to the one in Taipei, it&#39;s slightly inferior. Hopefully, there will be more exhibits for us to see in the future!
