In ancient China, where advanced civilization developed, various cultural artifacts were created using excellent technology, and many of them were decorated with designs that are novel and stimulating even to modern eyes. What kind of thinking was behind the creation of these designs, which seem far removed from our sensibilities?
This exhibition will introduce the sophisticated design sense of ancient China and the myths and worldview that formed its background, focusing on masterpieces of bronze mirrors owned by the Izumiya Hakukokan Museum (Kashigatani, Higashiyama, Kyoto). We will then interpret the background of the designs from four main perspectives: "Animals/Plants," "Astronomy," "Tanabata," and "Longing for Taoist Immortals," and also introduce the influence they had on Japanese art.
In addition, some of the works exhibited at the "Izumiya Biennale," a collaboration between contemporary metalworkers and ancient Chinese bronze vessels held at the Izumiya Hakukokan Museum (Kashigatani, Higashiyama, Kyoto) in 2021 and 2023, will be exhibited for the first time in Tokyo.

The view at Shibuya sky is really worth the fare. The night view is really super beautiful, up there really wow. I wanted to go during sunset, but the tickets have been sold out. I believe the view will be even more beautiful at sunset!

Background: A family trip, including elders and young people, all of whom knew Harry Potter but weren&#39;t magic fans. Review: The young people had a blast; the interactive activities were fun, there were tons of photo spots, and there was even a sharing of the film&#39;s production process, giving you a comprehensive understanding and immersion in the magical world &ndash; definitely worth a visit. As for the elders, they mainly toured the scenes and took photos, skipping all the interactive activities. Thankfully, there were enough seats for them to rest, and the facilities were fairly elder-friendly.

It was last minute decision to go as it was raining all morning but luckily in started to clear up around 2pm. I got combo ticket meaning you will go all the way up to the highest point. Getting ticket from machine was straight forward process. Ride on the elevator was experience on its own as you go up 36km/h. Mt Fuji wasn&rsquo;t fully visible as expected, but cloudy weather made the view much more interesting and dramatic. Worth seeing and spending not more then 30-45min overall.
