Learn to solder electrical components to circuit boards and join electric wires. This 3-hour course introduces the tools, materials, safety considerations, and skills for making sound soldered joints. You’ll learn important safety practices for handling high temperature tools, use of appropriate PPE, all done in a ventilated environment. You’ll hone your new soldering skills through a series of practice exercises using electrical circuit components. 
P﻿rice includes a $10 soldering kit.
About the instructor: 
Tomas Amadeo
 is a design engineer with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University, where he studied medical robotics and soft robotic technologies. He has extensive teaching experience, both at BU and for robotics teams in New Hampshire.
