Child Bereavement UK has created a study day for professionals who have experience working with families who have children or young perople who are not expected to live. This will be an advanced interactive study day mainly focused towards social workers and support workers. You will develop practical knowledge of working with bereaved families before and after a child or young person dies.
This course is a full day interactive course. Attendees will be contacted by email if there is a need to return to a webinar format.

Learning outcome
Gain an understanding of preparing and supporting families when having difficult conversations when a child or young person is expected to die
Explore ways of supporting families in coming to terms with a terminal diagnosis
Explore ways of supporting families when a good death is not achieved
Provide a space for discussion around when a good death is not achieved and the child death review process
Develop awareness of the challenge and importance of looking after ourselves
Recieve info about Child Bereavement UK and other organisation
Who should attend?
Professionals who have experience with families who have children who are expected to die. This is an opporunity to further develop skills and knowledge with other professionals
