Dogo Onsen:
The Dogo Onsen main building in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Shikoku has a history of more than 3,000 years and is the prototype of the hot spring house in the Ghibli animations &quot;Spirited Away&quot; and &quot;Spirited Away&quot;. Get off at Dogo Onsen Station. The old station has been renovated but is very distinctive. There are many restaurants, snacks, cafes, and gift shops in Dogo Onsen Shopping Street where you can buy souvenirs.

Dogo Onsen is one of the oldest hot springs in Japan, with a long history of 3,000 years. The main building of the hot spring bath is a three-story wooden structure. After it was built, it became the symbol of Dogo Onsen. The bath in the animated film &quot;Spirited Away&quot; was created based on this. In 1994, Dogo Onsen was designated as an important cultural heritage by the Japanese government for the first time as a hot spring facility. This building has a magnificent and retro appearance, which is a perfect fusion of classic and modern. The hot spring hall has three floors, and different floors correspond to different prices. In addition, you can pay to visit the royal bath. There are two bathrooms on the first floor, Rei no Yu and Kami no Yu. The second floor and above are rest rooms. The young master in the novel likes to use the separate room on the third floor of Rei no Yu. There are photos of Natsume Soseki inside, which can be visited for free

The people in Songshan City, whether tourists or locals, are very leisurely, and we also followed their pace and took a slow walk. At the mountain cable car station opposite the main street, take a single chairlift up to Matsuyama Castle. There are a few cherry blossom trees on both sides. It is very picturesque as you slowly go up the mountain. Songshan Castle is quite large and it takes about an hour to walk around it and see the whole city. If the cherry blossom season comes in spring, the whole beautiful scenery will definitely be enhanced. After walking around Matsuyama Castle, we walked down the mountain and ate the famous Taimeshi cuisine at Marusui, not far from the foot of the mountain.
