After 5 months of steady, chaotic travel in Africa, and many more months to continue on, I found myself needing a rest. This was my main motivation for booking into Radisson Serviced Apar**ents; it did not disappoint! The apar**ents are spacious and luxurious! I occupied an apar**ent on the 8th floor (basically, the penthouse) offering a spectacular view of the city! I didn't aim to do much here other than to rest and regroup for the next leg of travel. However, location wise, if you're after sightseeing, Radisson Serviced Apar**ents is in a perfect location to reach the major attractions in Antananarivo. There are several major supermarkets nearby, including a U Express (600 metres away) and a Shoprite (about 1 km away). I was able to reach the U Express on foot in 10 minutes, allowing me stock up on essentials and pick up ingredients to make myself dinner. My room was absolutely perfect! The room was beautifully furnished with a chair, coffee table, two bed side tables with USB and electric sockets above, two elegant bedside lamps, a floor lamp, a bench at the foot of the bed, a luggage bench along the wall, and a large wooden cabinet with shelving and hangers. Inside the cabinet there was an electronic safe, an iron and ironing board, two fluffy bath robes, two pairs of slippers, and a shoe shine kit. There was a flatscreen tv in the room with approximately 25 channels, however all were in French except for one - BBC News. I am fluent in French, so I was able to enjoy a movie during my stay. The bed was super comfortable and massive (king size perhaps or a very large queen!). The bedding was perfect and the firmness of the mattress and pillows were superior. I had a very enjoyable sleep! The room also had a small but highly functional kitchen, which I appreciated very much. The kitchen was equipped for cooking with: a microwave, two stove top burners (part of the countertop), a mini fridge, a large sink, an electric kettle with tea and coffee making supplies (tea, instant coffee, sugar and sweetener, milk etc.), and many cabinets which had all of the dishware and cookware (two frying pans, plates, coffee mugs, glassware, wine glasses, spatulas, forks, knives and spoons, a cutting board, a knife etc.). The mini fridge also had a mini bar from which you could purchase a small selection of snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I very much enjoyed being able to cook my own meal the night of my stay! There was no dish soap, but because it is a serviced apar**ent, I am guessing that housekeeping will clean your used dishes for you when they turn over your room. There were two large glass bottles of water also provided. A staff member did knock on my door in the evening to see if I required more water. The bathroom wa spacious and elegant. There was a massive walk-in shower with glass doors, a rain shower head, in shower dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body gel, a large modern toilet, ample toilet paper, a large sink with a
